Job summary

Hmixray is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform diagnostic echocardiography exams and respond to patient questions while maintaining confidentiality of health information.

The role includes conducting all echo procedures, assisting the cardiologist, ensuring patient rights, and producing high-quality images with excellent patient care. On-site work and strict adherence to safety and privacy standards apply.

Qualifications

• ARRT/ARDMS certifications required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Maintain licensure and CE per state/federal rules.
• Professional and courteous patient interaction.
• Familiarity with ultrasound equipment.
• Calm response to emergencies.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Echocardiography procedures per department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assists cardiologist with ultrasound-guided Echo Stress Test.
• Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
• Maintains patient privacy and rights.
• Documents and maintains department records.
• Performs quality control testing.
• Transports patients as needed.
• Guides and trains new sonographers as directed.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner.
• Keeps exam rooms clean and stocked with supplies.
• Monitors patient well-being during exams and takes appropriate actions.
