Responsibilities

Franciscan Medical Group is currently seeking a PER DIEM Echo Technologist for our Franciscan Heart and Vascular Clinic in Auburn, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to support our growing King County Cardiology team. The clinic is accessible via major highways and close to amenities. No weekends or organizationally recognized holidays are required.

Job Summary

This role involves performing sonographic examinations at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. The incumbent performs various technical procedures related to cardiac ultrasounds, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for sonographic diagnosis.

Essential Duties:

1. Perform technical procedures requiring a sound understanding of anatomical positioning, physiology, and cross-sectional anatomy to ensure optimal results.
2. Maintain expert knowledge in sonography examinations and general knowledge of sonography equipment.
3. Ensure proper scheduling, reporting, and filing of all sonography examinations.
4. Prepare patients for sonography procedures.
5. Process and label all exams accurately.
6. Attend seminars on new developments in sonography technology and present in-services to departmental staff as directed.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.
• One year of post-graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound and/or demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in diagnostics or ultrasound is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current registration by ARDMS.
• Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
