Job Summary

This position is responsible for obtaining diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images in three modes: M mode, color flow Doppler, and two-dimensional mode, following the imaging protocol recommended by IACEL. The candidate must be registered by ARDMS, CCI, or an equivalent registry. The role involves assisting physicians with obtaining images during Transesophageal Echos. The candidate should demonstrate sound knowledge and proficiency in diagnostic echocardiography techniques (both fixed and mobile) to aid in diagnosing patient disorders. Responsibilities include prioritizing and organizing patient flow for optimal time utilization, working with general guidance, and exercising initiative and sound judgment to provide quality services. The position requires demonstrating effective safety practices, establishing and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, other departments, and the Medical Staff, and performing related or licensed functions competently.

Qualifications:

• Open to candidates with RCS or RDCS, AE Certification; experience is considered but not mandatory. RCS is through CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree or Certificate required.
