Qualifications

• Must be registered or registry-eligible in Adult Echocardiography.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of two years of experience performing echocardiograms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce images and Doppler flow analysis.
• Review test results with physicians.
• Transport patients and conduct portable echocardiograms.

Skills

Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology

Proficiency in echocardiographic techniques

Understanding of ultrasound physics and equipment operation

Ability to obtain and interpret diagnostic-quality images independently

Skill in patient care and communication

Familiarity with clinical documentation standards

Ability to follow protocols and safety procedures

Physical ability to assist patients

Education

Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program
