Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking an Echo Technician to perform echocardiograms, operate ultrasound equipment, and assist physicians in diagnosing heart conditions. You will follow protocols, maintain records, and ensure infection control; familiarity with 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging is essential.

Certification through ARDMS or CCI with registry-eligibility and current BLS are required; aCAAHEP-accredited program graduate or a bachelor’s with experience may qualify.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency in 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging.
• Ability to obtain diagnostic-quality images independently.

Responsibilities

• Produce echocardiograms and perform related imaging.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to infection control.
