Job summary

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by following patient ID processes and educating patients.
• Perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner and per protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; aim for quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and necessary information; apply charge codes.
• Maintain and clean equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and education for staff.
