Job summary

Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking an Echo Technician to perform echocardiography studies and support physician in complex procedures within the Diagnostic Cardiology department.

Responsibilities include imaging cardiac structures, obtaining valve and chamber measurements, and ensuring smooth clerical operations in the Cardiopulmonary Department; on-site, full-time days with weekend rotation. Required high school diploma and BCLS; certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis/interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required.

Responsibilities

• Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow.
• Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.
