Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, is seeking a Diagnostic Cardiology Echocardiography Technologist for a full-time day shift. The role involves using ultrasound to visualize cardiac structures, taking precise measurements of valves, ventricles, and the left atrium, and supporting TEEs as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, ARDMS/CCI credentials or equivalent, and BCLS certification; hospital cardiology experience is preferred.

Overview

Department: Diagnostic Cardiology

Schedule: Full Time Days (8 hour shifts, start time typically between 7a-8a) and every 3rd Saturday (no on call!!)

Facility: Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital

Location: Evanston, IL

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required
• Able to perform stress testing preferred.
