Job summary

Prid e-Health in Northampton, MA is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform comprehensive cardiac imaging including M-Mode, 2-D, color Doppler, TEE and TTE. The role requires a RDCS credential, an Associate degree in radiology or equivalent, and BLS certification.

1–3 years of ultrasound experience preferred; Epic experience is a plus. 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday with possible Saturday rotation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in radiology or equivalent certification required.
• RDCS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scan patients in all cardiac views (M-Mode, 2-D, color Doppler).
• Perform TEE, TTE and Stress echo as part of exams.
• Support image acquisition and documentation per departmental policies.

Job description

5 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday. Saturdays possible to rotate with staff if and when needed. The possibility to extend up to Sept.Cooley Dickinson Hospital uses Philips equipment, and traveler must know TEE, TTE, and Stress echo. Must have at least 5 years of experience- an experienced tech that can jump right in. Knowing Epic is a plus and if they can start IVs that is also a plus. We use Lumason for our imaging agent and do bubble studies. The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and for scanning patients in all aspects of cardiac scanning including M-Mode, 2-D, color, Doppler, exercise testing, and TEE. This position reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree in radiology or equivalent certification required RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) required Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required One (1) to three (3) years experience as an Ultrasound Technician preferred
