Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a skilled Registered Echo Technician/Sonographer to perform high-quality echocardiographic examinations for adult patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment in the Bronx, NY. You will collaborate with cardiologists and the care team to ensure accurate imaging and documentation in the EMR.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of relevant experience, ARDMS or CCI certification, and BLS. The role runs Mon-Fri, 40 hours weekly, with local pay rates of $58-$62 per hour, in Bronx,

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Echo Technician/Sonographer experience.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound Echocardiography Program (or equivalent military training).
  • RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required.
  • BCLS/BLS certification required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and patient documentation.
  • Shift is 8 hrs/day | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Mon-Fri, 40 hrs/week.
  • Location: Bronx, NY 10451.
  • Stress testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive echocardiograms using advanced cardiac ultrasound imaging techniques to evaluate cardiac anatomy and function.
  • Verify patient identity, review physician orders, obtain relevant patient history, and educate patients and families regarding procedures.
  • Document preliminary findings, procedure completion, and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Identify significant cardiac abnormalities and promptly communicate critical findings to cardiologists and ordering providers.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment while following equipment safety and infection control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, daily statistics, departmental supplies, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient safety, and quality improvement standards.
  • Participate in continuing education, maintain clinical competency, and support departmental operations as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures, producing accurate diagnostic images, documenting findings in the EMR, and collaborating closely with cardiologists and the healthcare team to support exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive echocardiograms using advanced cardiac ultrasound imaging techniques to evaluate cardiac anatomy and function.

  • Pay Rate for Locals: $58 - $62 Hourly
  • Pay Rate for Travelers: $2,800 - $2,830 Weekly
