Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by identifying patients and educating on procedure.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and needed information; apply charge codes.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; assist with repairs as needed.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment and technique.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities.
