Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech for our Good Samaritan Hospital location. This part-time role (30 hours) supports diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician direction, with on-call shifts and 10-hour day blocks.

Ideal candidates are new to the field or recent graduates of an echocardiography program. ARDMS/CCI and BLS are required; opportunities for professional growth and teaching are available.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams with patient education and identification processes.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and team.
• Document exam results and related information.
• Apply charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area and supplies.
• Coordinate repairs or supply needs through proper channels.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and team goals.
• Pursue educational opportunities to enhance competence and skills.
• Provide education for caregivers, fellows and students as appropriate.
