Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (education verified).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by patient education and transportation.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and applicable charge codes.
• Maintain equipment, work area and supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment and techniques.
• Contribute to quality improvement and educational opportunities.
