Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competency for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule ultrasound exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams with patient education and transport.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and caregivers.
• Document exam results and required information.
• Apply correct charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area and stock; assist with repairs.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and education for staff.
