Job summary

Ascension Health seeks a skilled Echocardiography Technologist at Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Marion, IN. You will perform adult echocardiography, prepare preliminary reports, and coordinate with the team to maintain quality and readiness for accreditation.

Qualifications

• BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• Cardiographic/ Radiologic/Cardiac Sonography credentials within 12 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult echocardiographic examinations per protocol and orders.
• Prepare and document preliminary echocardiography reports in ProSolv for physician review.
• Monitor and maintain departmental supplies and communicate inventory needs.
• Lead quarterly Quality Assurance activities to ensure standards compliance.
• Collaborate with technologists and leadership to prep for accreditation.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform adult echocardiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician/PA orders, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging.

• Prepare and document preliminary echocardiography reports in the ProSolv system for physician review.

• Monitor and maintain adequate departmental supplies, communicating inventory needs to the designated office purchaser.

• Manage quarterly Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with established standards and support continuous quality improvement.

• Collaborate with echocardiography technologists and leadership to prepare for and maintain future accreditation requirements.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure /Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Cardiac-Intrvn Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Registered Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

• Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
