Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT and X-ray imaging within an ER setting. You will accurately position patients, select imaging parameters, and maintain rigorous radiation safety protocols.

The role includes preparing for procedures, assisting physicians, and administering contrast media as permitted. You will ensure timely submission of high-quality images and patient data to PACS while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire.
• Indiana Radiologic Imaging credential within 6 months of hire.
• One of the following credentials must be obtained within 6 months: CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Radiography, or ARDMS Sonography.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and X-Ray independently within an ER setting.
• Position patients, select parameters, and ensure radiation safety.
• Assist physicians with procedures and prepare for contrast media administration.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as scope permits.
• Ensure high-quality images and accurate patient data are submitted to PACS with proper markers.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Ability to perform CT and XRay independently within an ER setting.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Two years experience in CT highly preferred
• One year XRay experience preferred
