Echo Sonographer

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health agencies, has an opening for an ECHO Sonographer at the American Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. The ECHO Sonographer shall carry out medical cardiology functions with a certified Medical ECHO Sonographer. Certification by the Medical ECHO Sonographer Certification Board is required, and the sonographer shall receive technical direction from the VA Cardiology Medical Service.
2. Perform treatment planning and procedures such as Echocardiograms, Stress Testing, Treadmill Testing, Bubble Studies, and Definity Studies, in conjunction with the Contractor’s Echo sonographer.
3. Calculate prescribed doses, document in patient files, and verify the mathematical accuracy of all calculations using systems established by the Contractor’s ECHO sonographers.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
• ARDMS Board Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• Proven ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
