Echo Sonographer

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health agencies, has an opening for an ECHO Sonographer at the American Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. The ECHO Sonographer shall carry out medical cardiology functions under the supervision of a certified Medical ECHO Sonographer, with certification by the Medical ECHO Sonographer Certification Board, and receive technical direction from the VA Cardiology Medical Service.
2. Perform treatment planning and execution of Echocardiograms, Stress Testing, Treadmill Testing, Bubble Studies, and Definity Studies in collaboration with the Contractor’s Echo sonographer.
3. Calculate prescribed doses, document procedures in patient files, and verify the mathematical accuracy of all calculations using the system established by the Contractor’s Echosonographers.

Minimum Qualifications

1. At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
2. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.
3. ARDMS Board Certification.
4. BLS Certification.
5. Fluent in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
6. Authorized to work indefinitely in the U.S. without sponsorship.
7. Basic computer skills.
8. Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
