Echo Sonographer

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health agencies, has an opening for an ECHO Sonographer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. The ECHO Sonographer shall perform medical cardiology functions under the certification of a Medical ECHO Sonographer, certified by the Medical ECHO Sonographer Certification Board, and shall receive technical direction from the VA Cardiology Medical Service.
2. Perform treatment planning and conduct procedures such as Echocardiograms, Stress Testing, Treadmill Testing, Bubble Studies, and Definity Studies in collaboration with the Contractor’s Echo Sonographer.
3. Calculate prescribed doses, document outcomes in patient files, and verify the mathematical accuracy of all calculations using systems established by the Contractor’s Echosonographers.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree.
• ARDMS Board Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• Fluent in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
