Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, TX, invites qualified echocardiography technologists to join the echo team, performing 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, pulse wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, transesophageal echo, stress echo, and related studies to high technical standards.

Requirements include an associate degree or accredited echo training, ACLS preferred, BLS required, RDCS/ RCS preferred, experience with Philips ie33 and EPIQ, TEE probes, Epic, and at least 1 year hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred.
• High School Diploma and/or GED.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS preferred.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required.
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required.
• Experience with Philips ie33 and EPIQ, TEE probes (to include the sterilization process), and Epic preferred.
• Typing and computer skills preferred.
• Work Experience: 1 year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Maintains proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment and adheres to universal precautions.
• Participates in required programs and mandatory education.
• Resolves conflicts and prioritizes STAT and routine orders.
• Manages supplies and forms within the department budget.
