Job summary

Nicklaushealth seeks a Lead Echo Tech/Educator to provide clinical leadership, education, and quality assurance within the Heart Station. You will mentor staff, ensure high-quality imaging, and drive best-practice adoption across echocardiography workflows.

The role requires 7–10 years in echocardiography, ARDMS/CCI certification, and strong teamwork across disciplines to optimize patient outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-4 year diagnostic ultrasound program from an accredited institution.
• ARDMS or CCI (registered Cardiac Sonographer) - active and in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS - active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical expert for complex echocardiography cases and guide staff.
• Perform and supervise echocardiographic studies (TTE/TEE) and QA.
• Develop and deliver training programs for sonographers to ensure proficiency.
• Mentor staff, onboard new hires, and support protocol adherence.
• Collaborate with Heart Station Manager on staffing and protocols.
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate resolution with IT/biomed.
