Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a Pediatric Echocardiography Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies and triage examinations. The role includes preparing patients, presenting data to attending physicians, and maintaining echo equipment and laboratory standards.

The candidate should have AS in Allied Health or related field or a diagnostic ultrasound certificate, and registry eligibility (RDCS/RCS).

Qualifications

• Associate in Science (AS) in Allied Health or related field (or) a certificate program in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Eligible for registry in Ultrasound, RDCS or RCS by ARDMS or CCI, and pass within 6 months of hire.
• At least one year of experience in Cardiac Clinical Ultrasound or a Pediatric Internship is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, organizes data, performs calculations appropriate to study, and presents to physicians.
• Using 3D image technology, reconstructs 3D images for Maternal/Fetal program patients.
• Collaborates with team and performs strains for electrophysiology.
• Performs transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) and other cardiac scans per protocol.
• Precepts new sonographers and fellows; provides technical feedback and coaching.
