Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Cardio-Diagnostic Sonographer to perform, administer, and monitor cardiac ultrasound tests, including Doppler studies across pediatric to geriatric patients. You will record data, provide preliminary findings to physicians, and operate equipment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Onsite weekend option available. Certification in Basic Life Support (and Advanced Life Support if applicable) is required, with registry eligibility for RDCS/RCS/ACS and

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required. Advanced Life Support certification may be required.
• Applicant must be eligible to sit for registry and must pass within one year: ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCCS/ACS.
• May require ISDH license.
• Must pass Basic EKG interpretation exam with score >85% initially and yearly.

Responsibilities

• Performs, administers & monitors Cardio-Diagnostic tests with emphasis on cardiac sonography and doppler studies.
• Provides physician with preliminary findings of recorded data.
• Prepares and operates equipment; positions patients correctly to record diagnostic images.
• Treats patients with care and respect.
