Job summary

South Washington County Schools seeks an Early Childhood Family Education Paraprofessional to assist teachers, supervise children, and support family activities at the District Program Center.

The role emphasizes classroom assistance, sibling care as needed, safety, and respectful interaction with families. Requires a high school diploma and willingness to meet Highly Qualified standards.

Qualifications

• Graduates must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet District 833 Highly Qualified requirements.
• Lift and transfer up to 50 pounds; maintain reliability.
• Strong teamwork, confidentiality and communication skills.
• Experience with basic computer functions and Word processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with activities and supervise children in class.
• Set up classroom for parent/child activities and greet families.
• Support during child-only time and help with materials.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality and orderly learning environments.
• Provide care, snacks and supervision per program needs.
