Job summary

Faribault Public Schools is seeking a Part‑Time Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Paraprofessional to support teachers in creating a welcoming, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children and their families. The role includes assisting with classroom materials, supporting ECFE classes, helping children engage in learning, and providing sibling care during parent‑child sessions.

Bilingual ability (Spanish or Somali and English) is preferred.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred.
• Must speak Spanish or Somali and English.
• Experience working with young children and knowledge of child development preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff in a team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist ECFE teachers in preparing and setting up classroom materials and supporting learning activities.
• Support children’s engagement during ECFE classes and provide sibling care during parent‑child sessions.
• Collaborate with ECFE staff to support program goals and family participation.
