Job summary

Educational Service District 123 in Pasco, WA is seeking an Early Childhood Education and Assistant Program (ECEAP) Lead Teacher. You will oversee classroom care, planning, and the learning environment, coordinating with the assistant to engage families in the child’s development.

This role emphasizes collaborative planning, inclusive practices, and strong ties to the ECEAP standards. The position is full-time, 180 days, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, and an hourly rate

Qualifications

• Must meet one of: ECE degree/certificate, DCYF equivalent, or high school diploma with PDP.
• Clear portable background check.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; not required.
• 2–3 years of preschool classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assess children’s development.
• Complete written observations and develop individualized learning plans.
• Administer standardized screening tools and conduct re-screens.
• Plan curriculum based on developmental needs and interests.
• Provide an integrated, child-centered curriculum reflecting culture and inclusivity.
• Develop daily schedules and prepare lesson plans in line with ECEAP standards.
• Create learning environments that meet individual and group needs, including those with disabilities.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Teacher to organize materials and transitions.

Education

Associate or higher degree in Washington State Early Childhood Education Certificate ECE

DCYF approved equivalent

High School Diploma or GED with PDP
