Job summary

Sheridan School District No. 2 is seeking an ECE Teacher Assistant to support the Early Childhood Center team's supervision and activities for children enrolled.

The role involves assisting the lead teacher and related staff in attainment of Individual Education Plans and promoting positive parent involvement. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, two ECE classes or a CDA, and 1–3 years of experience in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two ECE classes from an accredited college or CDA.
• 1–3 years of experience in an early childhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces classroom learning concepts for all children as directed.
• Assists on field trips and with life skills experiences.
• Monitors and assists with child behavior management.
• Monitors child progress and assists in observations and adaptations.
• Attend meetings and staffings as needed.
• May perform diapering and toileting as needed.
• Assists in home visitations and parent conferences.
