Job summary

Pacelabdc is seeking an Early Childhood Education Assistant to support teachers in delivering high quality services for an 11-hour, full-year classroom. You will help plan lessons, supervise children, serve meals, and maintain documentation, while providing strong customer service to families.

The role requires an associate degree or higher in ECD, a valid CDA or higher, and at least 18 years old; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood development or related field.
• Current and valid Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
• One (1) year of experience as a student intern, tutor, or instructional assistant working with pre-elementary school children is desirable.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning and implementing classroom lessons and activities.
• Ensure proper care, safety, and supervision of groups of children at all times while maintaining appropriate child/teacher ratios.
• Assist in planning and implementing weekly lesson plans and activities for children indoors and out in accordance with curricula and Head Start standards.
• Assist in gathering classroom observations and other documentation for developmental assessments of children.
• Support recruitment and enrollment goals and maintain required paperwork.
