Job summary

The role provides technical and laboratory support for instructional, research, and project activities, including setting up, maintaining, calibrating, testing, and repairing equipment.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of relevant experience, with preferences for embedded systems and Linux expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5–7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • Four additional years may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience in PCB circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • Soldering and rework of through-hole and SMD components.
  • Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment and associated computer systems.
  • Prepare laboratory spaces for instruction and research; manage inventory and supplies.
  • Provide guidance and training in safe use of laboratory equipment and develop instructional materials.
  • Support laboratory instruction, capstone projects, independent studies, and research initiatives.
  • Maintain a safe laboratory environment and enforce safety procedures.
