Job summary

Easterseals Southern California, Inc. is seeking a Practice Based Coach to support Head Start and Early Head Start teachers, aides, and family child care providers in delivering high-quality early childhood education.

You will observe, model, and provide feedback to improve teacher–child interactions and school readiness. The role emphasizes training, data analysis of CLASS outcomes, and collaboration with center directors to advance program goals and ensure culturally responsive practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development or related field.
• Must hold and maintain a Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or higher).
• Infant/Toddler coursework 3–6 units with a B grade or better.
• Current pediatric (infant/toddler) CPR/First Aid certification.
• Food handler’s certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide practice-based coaching for Head Start/ Early Head Start staff.
• Observe, model, give feedback and discuss child outcomes data.
• Develop and deliver staff trainings to improve teaching practices.
• Maintain CLASS assessment reliability and support program improvement.
• Collaborate with Center Directors and managers on goals and objectives.
• Ensure developmentally appropriate, linguistically responsive instruction.
