Job summary

Acara Solutions in Orlando, FL seeks an ECC Specialist for a 6-month temporary engagement to support global import compliance through HTSUS classifications.

You will research and analyze product classifications, collaborate with Engineering, Procurement and Regulatory teams, and apply HTSUS rules to ensure accurate tariff determinations while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience in customs or international trade compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and assign HTSUS classifications for imported products, equipment, materials, components, and spare parts.
• Evaluate technical product information from engineering drawings, specifications, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to determine accurate classifications.
• Apply classification methodologies using HTSUS, GRIs, CBP CROSS rulings, Explanatory Notes, and applicable customs regulations.
• Collaborate with Customs Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Compliance teams to resolve classification questions and support audit activities.
• Conduct classification reviews, maintain compliance documentation, support tariff updates and revalidations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
