Job summary

Raytheon in Huntsville, AL seeks a PCB design engineer responsible for creating and delivering PCB/CCA layouts from concept through manufacturing. You will generate schematics, supplier drawings, and Gerber/ODB++ files while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines.

The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years in PCB design, with active DoD security clearance and experience in rigid, flex, or rigid-flex layouts. Onsite relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience to include at least two of: PCB/CCA manufacturing principles, electrical design process, rigid/flex/Rigid-Flex board layouts.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles that affect circuitry and component layout.
• Experience with the electrical design process and board layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design Printed Circuit Board (PCB) from conception to manufacturing.
• Create PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and schematic drawings for suppliers.
• Perform Schematic Capture, Component Placement, Routing of Traces, Gerber/ODB++ file creation.
• Use Siemens Xpedition and BluePrint-PCB tools for layout and documentation.
• Create designs for Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, components, test, and producibility teams to meet design requirements.
