Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Lead Engineer, Hardware Design eCAD Librarian to drive ECAD library management and support PCB design across the Americas. This dual role combines library governance with PCB layout responsibilities and requires collaboration with a global librarian team.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Altium, and IPC standards, and will work with PLM systems to ensure BOM and lifecycle data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related technical field in electrical engineering or electronics technology.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Altium, or Mentor Xpedition.
• Familiarity with IPC-7351 land pattern geometries and IPC-2221 standards.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage electronic component libraries within Cadence Allegro/OrCAD and Altium.
• Design layout and routing for high-density multi-layer PCBs (12–28+ layers).
• Ensure high-speed constraint adherence: impedance control, length matching, differential pairs.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineers for BOM, form factor, and thermal performance.
• Analyze datasheets and vendor drawings to optimize land patterns for DFM/DFA.
