Qualifications

• Degree in education or a related area that will qualify for licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
• Ability to manage instructional time and classroom behavior to keep students on task.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff, parents, and the school community.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional time to keep students on task and prepared for lessons.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures for behavior and participation.
• Deliver instruction with clear objectives, engaging examples, and appropriate pacing.
• Monitor student performance and use data to guide instruction and feedback.
• Provide timely feedback on in-class and out-of-class work to support growth.
• Develop and adjust objectives and tasks based on diagnostic information and assessments.
• Interact professionally with students, colleagues, families, and community partners.
• Perform non-instructional duties as assigned and participate in professional development.
• Complete other related duties as required.
