Job summary

Pitt County Schools is seeking an Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to provide specialized instruction under IEPs for students with disabilities. You will deliver specially designed instruction, differentiate lessons, and collaborate with general education staff.

This role requires a bachelor’s in Special Education, NC licensure eligibility, strong communication and organizational skills, and adherence to IDEA guidelines.

• Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student needs and grade-level standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation (IEPs, progress reports, data collection).
• Collaborate with teachers, coaches, specialists to support access to curriculum.
• Participate in IEP meetings, reevaluations, and eligibility determinations.
• Ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented with fidelity.
