Job summary

Young World Physical Education seeks an Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant for the 26-27 school year in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will support EC students in achieving their IEP goals while assisting teachers in the classroom environment.

Qualifications

• At least one completed Associate's degree or two years of higher education equivalent to 48 credit hours.
• One year experience working with exceptional children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support EC students in achieving their IEP goals.
• Assist children individually or in small groups with assignments.
• Supervise students in various school settings.
• Provide physical assistance as needed.
• Participate in professional development and meetings.

Skills

Knowledge of regulations pertaining to exceptional children

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to problem-solve utilizing sound judgment

Familiarity with technology for communication
