Job summary

Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP) seeks an Eastern Vice President of Conservation to lead and expand conservation impact across the eastern and midwestern United States. Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or higher, with 10+ years in conservation policy, nonprofit leadership, advocacy, or related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing conservation campaigns or public policy initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of eastern and midwestern conservation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of a long-term conservation growth strategy for the eastern and midwestern U.S.
  • Supervise and support conservation program leaders and staff.
  • Provide strategic leadership across regional conservation portfolio and empower campaigns in areas of expertise.
  • Ensure campaigns are resourced and coordinated with executive leadership and government affairs teams.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing regional conservation team.
  • Identify priority geographies, opportunities, and investments to expand impact.
  • Cultivate relationships with hunting, fishing, conservation groups, policymakers, and business leaders.
  • Represent TRCP in meetings with state and federal decision-makers and external partners.
  • Coordinate with Conservation, Government Relations, Communications, and Development teams to maximize outcomes.
  • Cultivate donors and private foundations to support regional conservation initiatives.
  • Support grant proposals, budgets, and investments related to eastern priorities.
  • Advance coalition-driven policy recommendations benefiting fish, wildlife, habitat and public access.
  • Track progress toward conservation objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
