Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership seeks an Eastern Vice President of Conservation to lead and expand conservation impact across the eastern and midwestern United States. You will supervise staff, build coalitions, and drive strategic policy initiatives with a strong focus on fisheries, water, and private lands conservation.

Working closely with TRCP's teams, you will identify opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and secure resources to support long-term growth and conservation

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or higher, plus 10+ years in conservation policy, nonprofit leadership, or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership in conservation campaigns or public policy initiatives.
• Strong understanding of conservation and access issues affecting the eastern and midwestern United States.
• Experience building and managing coalitions with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience supervising teams in a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
• Willingness to travel regionally (approx. 1–2 trips per month).
• Valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and implementation of a long-term conservation growth strategy for TRCP's eastern and midwestern work.
• Supervise and support conservation program leaders and staff, including directors within Fisheries and Private Lands.
• Provide strategic leadership across TRCP's portfolio, advancing priority initiatives.
• Ensure campaigns are aligned, resourced, and coordinated with senior staff for unified policy action.
• Build and maintain regional teams and partnerships with hunting, fishing, conservation, and business interests.
• Represent TRCP in meetings with state and federal decision-makers and external audiences.
• Coordinate with Conservation, Government Relations, Communications, and Development teams to maximize policy outcomes and fundraising.
• Cultivate relationships with foundations and individual donors to support regional initiatives.
• Support grant proposals, reports, budgets, and investments related to eastern priorities.
• Track progress toward objectives and adjust strategies as needed.
