The position involves developing phone-based revenue generation by establishing ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers through excellent telephone sales and communication skills. Responsibilities include reaching business targets by creating sales leads, initiating prospect calls, answering incoming calls from prospective clients, and following up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Cold-call and email prospects to qualify leads; identify decision makers to begin the sales process.
  2. Educate and inform prospects about SDi’s Product & Service offerings.
  3. Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
  4. Conduct online, phone training & webinars.
  5. Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects through research to find new qualified leads.
  6. Receive inbound prospect calls; answer questions and offer suggestions based on thorough product knowledge; qualify prospects before scheduling a site visit with a regional manager if needed.
  7. Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss payment terms, and prepare sales order forms and reports.
  8. Cross-sell and up-sell to existing customers via telephone and email.
  9. Overcome objections of prospective customers.
  10. Maintain client accounts in CRM database.
  11. Collaborate with Sales and Business Managers to determine strategic sales approaches and develop a calendar of activities to work the prospect list consistently.
  12. Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  13. Communicate brand identity and corporate position effectively.
  14. Assist in preparing sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales activities.
  15. Create RFP responses for potential clients.
  16. Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and events.
  17. Attend periodic sales & fire life safety training as applicable.
  18. Be a key team player and assist the sales team for overall success.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  2. At least three (3) years of inside sales and/or lead generation experience.
  3. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Dependable work ethic and consistent performance.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a team.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Commensurate with experience

SCHEDULE

  • Day shift, Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three or more years of experience in the Fire Safety industry preferred.

WORK LOCATION

  • Remote, serving Northeast, Southeast, or Midwest territories.
