Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to lead our environmental compliance practice in the Eastern Midwest region, serving OH, KY, IN, MI, WV and PA. You will mentor staff, manage projects, and develop client relationships while guiding nationwide initiatives.

You will work with a cross-functional team, oversee regulatory reporting, audits, and permit applications, and help expand services across markets with a focus on quality and compliance excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role.
• Proven ability to engage and lead a team of technical staff and mentor their growth.
• Demonstrated a high level of technical writing ability.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work and possess a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow and expand existing environmental compliance services.
• Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables.
• Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Understand the local and regional market.
• Develop strong working relationships with clients.
• Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests.
• Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies.
• Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines.
• Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
