Job summary

The Junior Project Coordinator at Kentucky State University supports the Center of Excellence for Preparing a 21st Century-Ready Workforce in Eastern Kentucky. Based in Martin County, this grant-funded role coordinates administrative, field, and program activities across partner sites and communities.

You will manage schedules, recruit and engage trainees, oversee records and data, and assist with reporting and outreach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • At least two years of experience coordinating projects, educational programs, or community initiatives.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout Eastern Kentucky.
  • Ability to coordinate schedules, records, events, programs, and multiple concurrent activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily administrative, field, and training activities.
  • Develop schedules for workshops, field demonstrations, online instruction, apprenticeships, community events, and other project activities.
  • Coordinate access, logistics, and activities at project sites in Martin, Pike, and surrounding counties.
  • Support recruitment, enrollment, communication, engagement, and retention of trainees.
  • Coordinate instructors, partners, Extension personnel, and other project partners.
  • Assist with field demonstrations, data collection, and documentation of restoration activities.
