Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related discipline preferred.
• Practicum experience in a human sciences area OR two years experience with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting mentors.
• Organize and facilitate mentor training.
• Provide training related to youth development, mentorship expectations, and program compliance.
• Coordinate mentor and mentee activities, including enrichment events and group sessions.
• Support communication between parents, youth, mentors, staff, and community partners.
• Coordinate and monitor the matching of mentors with youth, making adjustments as needed.
• Facilitate monthly mentor meetings and provide ongoing support to strengthen relationships.
• Meet with staff from target schools to ensure program alignment and collaboration.
• Assess and track youth progress in mentorship using input from mentors, families, and school staff.
