Job summary

West Bend seeks a seasoned sales leader to own the Eastern Iowa insurance market in a fully remote role, spending 50% of time in the field. You will build and manage relationships with independent agencies, develop growth strategies, and collaborate with underwriters to shape profitable outcomes.

You will prospect for new agencies, deepen partnerships, and translate market insights into actionable plans. A strong track record in P&C sales and territory development is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of property and casualty insurance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Insurance, or related field preferred.
• CIC or CPCU designation required.
• Valid agent’s license required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy for Eastern Iowa and develop a territory plan with growth goals.
• Build a stronger agency network by prospecting and appointing new agencies.
• Be a resource agencies want to call by understanding their businesses and connecting them with solutions.
• Bring the market back to us by monitoring competitors and informing decisions.
• Turn numbers into opportunities by monitoring performance and identifying trends.
• Create energy around our products and partnerships with trainings, promotions, and events.
• Work closely with Underwriting to evaluate opportunities and make decisions together.
• Recognize what’s working and what isn’t by conducting agency performance reviews and identifying gaps.
