Job summary

Epcon is seeking an experienced High Voltage Regional Manager to lead a portfolio of substation, transmission, and interconnection construction projects across the Eastern United States.

The role encompasses regional delivery, safety, quality, client relationships, and growth, with relocation support for qualified candidates and the potential to base at Edison, NJ or Raleigh, NC. Expect significant regional travel and close collaboration with utilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of high-voltage construction experience involving substations, transmission lines, and/or utility interconnections.
• QEW certification or ability to obtain required qualification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, margin management, and change management.
• Excellent communication, client management, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of multiple high-voltage substation, transmission, and interconnection construction projects across the Eastern region.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor schedules with focus on engineering deliverables, procurement, long-lead equipment, outages, and energization dates.
• Lead regional Project Executives, Project Managers, and field leadership to ensure cross-project consistency.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with utilities, owners, developers, EPC partners, and other customers.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasts, margin performance, and regional financial results.
