Job summary

StarCompliance is seeking a hands-on Data & AI leader to own the AI & data strategy, building a production-grade AI capability within a heavily regulated environment. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and the executive team to co-own the AI roadmap and drive measurable customer value.

You will mentor and scale a Data & AI organization across data engineering, data science, ML engineering, and analytics, aligning initiatives with corporate priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven delivery of production-grade AI/ML at scale.
• Deep experience with generative AI and LLM-based architectures (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG).
• Strong knowledge of vector databases and semantic search.
• Deep background in modern data engineering, ELT/ETL patterns, and large-scale data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and data modelling.
• Strong Azure ecosystem experience: Data Factory, Synapse, OpenAI Service, ML.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technical strategy and execution roadmap for AI-enabled product capabilities.
• Drive adoption of generative AI, LLM-based architectures, predictive analytics, graph intelligence, and semantic search.
• Own the data foundation strategy and ensure clean, trusted data underpins AI initiatives.
• Build MLOps capabilities: training pipelines, versioning, monitoring, A/B testing, drift detection.
• Champion pragmatic AI adoption within engineering and product development.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Data & AI organization across data engineering, data science, ML engineering and analytics.
• Collaborate with CTO and exec team to align AI and data initiatives with company strategy.
• Partner with Product Director, AI & Data Products, co-owning the AI roadmap, prioritization, and delivery outcomes.
