Job summary

Pike Engineering in Marietta, GA seeks a title and easements specialist who researches, secures and processes easements and quit claims for transmission and distribution rights-of-way.

You will coordinate with landowners, attorneys and government agencies, prepare and secure permits, and maintain a Notary Public seal where required. Requires knowledge of real estate law, negotiation, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field.
• 1-3 years' experience in obtaining property rights and easements from landowners and agencies.
• Public Notary required; Real Estate license preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and document management tools.

Responsibilities

• Research, secure and process easements and quit claims for rights-of-way.
• Research land ownership and existing easement rights for property.
• Facilitate acquisition and permits from government agencies and railroads.
• Obtain appraisal and title reports to determine property value for acquisitions.
• Coordinate with land surveyors, researchers and data specialists on projects.
• Communicate with landowners, attorneys, officials, engineers to gain land rights.
• Prepare reports for weekly construction status meetings and right-of-way status.
• Assist with complex transactions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
