Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area. You will operate heavy machines such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, scrapers and compactors at professional construction sites, following blueprints and safety standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of related equipment operation experience, with 5+ years preferred. This full-time position may involve overtime and outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of related experience operating dozer, loader, backhoe, gannon, scraper, or compactor.
• 5+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand wheels, levers, and pedals to drive machines and attachments.
• Grade or redistribute earth and materials for construction of structures.
• Use GPS and laser leveling to regulate elevations and slopes.
• Attach and align equipment with reference stakes, following signals.
• Monitor gauges and system indicators to ensure proper machine operation.
• Inspect equipment and report deficiencies.
• Read blueprints and specifications and interpret survey markers.
• Communicate directions and warnings to coworkers.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
