Job summary

Clark Bros, Inc. seeks a Preconstruction Engineer to develop digital terrain models and earthwork takeoffs using AGTEK and AutoCAD. You will support feasibility studies, bid preparation, and project planning with strong attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities include reviewing civil plans, optimizing grading, and collaborating with estimators and operations to ensure cost-effective outcomes. Drone data processing and Pix4D exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in heavy civil construction or earthwork estimating
• Proficiency in AGTEK software for earthwork modeling and takeoffs preferred
• Ability to read civil drawings, grading plans, and topographic surveys
• FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate preferred for drone work

Responsibilities

• Develop digital terrain models and earthwork quantity takeoffs
• Review civil plans, grading models, and site data to estimate quantities
• Prepare cost estimates and supporting exhibits for bids
• Refine grading models and prepare quantity reports for estimating teams
• Identify constructability issues and suggest efficiency improvements
• Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and field teams
• Maintain organized digital project files and model revisions
• Assist in transitioning projects from preconstruction to operations
