Job summary

Clark Bros, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Engineer in Fresno, CA to support preconstruction and estimating efforts.

You will develop digital terrain models, perform earthwork takeoffs, and prepare construction models using AGTEK and AutoCAD, contributing to project feasibility and cost estimates. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in heavy civil construction, with strong math, analytical skills, and experience in digital modeling workflows.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in heavy civil construction, earthwork estimating, or CAD drafting.
• Experience with digital construction modeling and quantity takeoffs.
• Proficiency with AGTEK software for earthwork modeling and estimation is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil drawings, surfaces, contours, and design geometry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain digital terrain models and grading models using AGTEK and AutoCAD.
• Perform earthwork quantity takeoffs, including cut-and-fill analysis.
• Review civil plans and site data to develop reliable quantity calculations.
• Create and refine grading models and quantity reports for estimating teams.
• Identify discrepancies and constructability issues during model reviews.
• Support bid preparation with quantity summaries and estimating documents.
