Clark Bros, Inc. is seeking a Preconstruction Engineer to support preconstruction and estimating by developing accurate digital terrain models and performing earthwork quantity takeoffs using AGTEK and AutoCAD.

The role involves evaluating project feasibility, preparing constructible earthwork models, and supporting bid preparation and project planning with a focus on cost efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in heavy civil construction, earthwork estimating, quantity takeoffs, CAD drafting, or digital construction modeling.
• Proficiency in AGTEK software for earthwork modeling and takeoffs is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of grading, earthwork concepts, and digital modeling workflows.
• Ability to review civil plans, site data, and proposed grading to produce reliable quantity estimates.
• Experience coordinating with estimators, PMs, and field teams to validate quantities and methods.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain digital terrain models and grading models using AGTEK and AutoCAD.
• Perform detailed earthwork quantity takeoffs including cut/fill, over-excavation, and material movement.
• Review civil plans and topographic data to understand project scope and requirements.
• Analyze haul distances, material balance, and site constraints to refine earthwork estimates.
• Prepare price estimates and supporting documentation for bid submissions.
• Coordinate with estimators, project managers, and field staff to verify quantities and methods.
• Maintain organized digital project files and version control for traceability.
• Assist in transitioning awarded projects from preconstruction to operations.
